2018 B&V Vineyard Adelaide Hills Shiraz

VINTAGE CONDITIONS
The hot days, influenced by the Murray River plains to the east and the cold night air drainage from the central Adelaide Hills to the west, create a large diurnal temperature differential through the growing season which is perfectly suited to growing Shiraz in the region.
The month of July in 2017 provided welcoming breaking winter rains which allowed the vineyards to be well positioned for the latter half of the growing season. A warm spring was followed by a short heat burst prior to vintage. Overall a strong vintage with great fruit and flavour development.
NOSE
An elegant and vibrant bouquet with ripe red fruits with a hint of liquorice.
PALATE
A beautiful and elegant wine with an abundance of red berry fruits and layers of white pepper and spice. There are soft long lingering tannins with a hint of char on the finish.
