The 2018 vintage is only the third release of this style from Petaluma, following on from the 2012. The resulting wine is luscious, but crisp, with lovely lemon-lime intensity and a hint of sherbet. Best enjoyed young and fresh.
The 2016 Petaluma Project Company Barbera was the very first release of this wine and this 2018 vintage is the second. A seductive wine with aromas of blackberries and blueberries, making way to merlot-like plum characters and lovely soft tannins on the palate.
