Croser was created as it was believed that the right region in Australia could produce sparkling wine to rival Champagne. That region is Piccadilly in the Adelaide Hills. The first vintage of Croser was released in 1985 and the winemaking philosophy continues today starting in the vineyard where all the vines are hand pruned, the grapes hand picked, the fruit whole bunch pressed, and the wines hand crafted in the traditional method.
This Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra is a full flavoured, rich dry red, and shows the spicy, juicy bright fruits for which the region is renowned. Aromas of liquorice cassis and cedar are complemented by black fruits and a lovely hint of mint and Cabernet leaf. The palate is bright and juicy, is elegant and has lovely soft sandy abundant tannin.
Crunchy pears and apples, complex nuances of oak and ginger, hints of stone fruits and lemon and lime. A full flavoured style Pinot Gris
Petaluma White Label Sauvignon Blanc displays wonderful fruit intensity, with fresh exotic aromatics. The palate is rich and full with lovely texture and tropical fruit, and finishes with crisp vibrant acidity.
Petaluma White Label Dry Rosé is a wine to be enjoyed this summer chilled to teeth chattering and allowed to warm ever so slightly in the glass. Fantastic with school prawns or just while enjoying a conversation with friends.
A spicy dry red. Peppery berry fruit, typical of the Adelaide Hills signals a palate of lovely texture, sweet fruit and pepper and spice.
Petaluma White Label Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is a is a bright, fruit forward wine, and has lovely citrus and stone fruits. The palate is dominated by grapefruit and melon, hints of white peach and is framed by crisp acidity and lovely subtle oak.
A long standing favourite variety in Bordeaux, Malbec does particularly well in Coonawarra. This Petaluma Project Company Malbec is a ripe fruit, finely structured spicy dry red with smooth, abundant and rich tannins.
Bright aromas of lemon sherbet and white flowers are followed by hints of toasted oak and a steely palate of crisp green apples and textured acidity.
Notes of red fruit and rhubarb combine with a lovely soft tannin profile that will only soften further with time.
The 2016 Petaluma Project Company Barbera was the very first release of this wine and this 2018 vintage is the second. A seductive wine with aromas of blackberries and blueberries, making way to merlot-like plum characters and lovely soft tannins on the palate.
