The Hanlin Hill vineyard in the Clare Valley was planted in 1968 following the natural contours of the vineyard. The slate geology and climate of the site are perfect for production of the highest quality Riesling with a backbone of high natural acidity and the intense lime flavours characteristic of Petaluma Riesling.
Flavours of Nashi pear & orange blossom are present on the nose with crunchy pear and lemon pith on the palate. This Pinot Gris is high in natural acidity and minerality with white florals and a crisp finish.
A full flavoured, rich textured wine. Lemon and lime complement white peach and ripe nectarine with a lovely hint of gun flint and smoky oak. The palate is long and has a wonderful acid line, with lemon meringue and citrus zest on the finish.
Petaluma White Label Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is a is a bright, fruit forward wine, and has lovely citrus and stone fruits. The palate is dominated by grapefruit and melon, hints of white peach and is framed by crisp acidity and lovely subtle oak.
Petaluma White Label Dry Rosé is a wine to be enjoyed this summer chilled to teeth chattering and allowed to warm ever so slightly in the glass. Fantastic with school prawns or just while enjoying a conversation with friends.
The 2017 Petaluma Tiers Chardonnay continues the tradition and shows the provenance of the vineyard, the lowest and warmest in the Piccadilly Valley, first planted in 1979. Full and rich, cinnamon and almond complement nectarine and white peach and a touch of flintiness on the nose. A creamy, nutty finish is backed up by multi layered fruit on the palate with lemon and lime framing the finish.
Pale straw in colour the wine displays tropical notes combined with herbaceous undertones. The palate is dry with hints of passionfruit, citrus and freshly cut grass with lingering crisp acidity. Enjoy this wine in its youth with lightly crumbed King George whiting or garfish.
