The 2018 vintage is only the third release of this style from Petaluma, following on from the 2012. The resulting wine is luscious, but crisp, with lovely lemon-lime intensity and a hint of sherbet. Best enjoyed young and fresh.
Almost burnt butterscotch in colour, the nose is rich dark and bursting with summer stone fruit notes complexed by touches of dried apricot and spice. The palate is full and rich, showing a more citrus element, burnt orange notes and strong, floral, botrytis flavours.
