Petaluma is managed with a natural approach with particular attention to sustainable management practices and reducing environmental impact. The Environmental Management System (EMS) implemented at Petaluma works in tandem with local initiatives and is charged with achieving minimal impact on the surrounds and supporting sustainable practices at a viticultural, winery and office level.

Green Viticulture
Petaluma is resolute in reducing sprays in each of our vineyards. We are focussed on finding solutions to control insects in the vineyard without chemicals in order to maintain a balanced, natural biodiversity.

Environmental Goodworks
Petaluma is in its fifth year of sponsoring the Cox's Creek rehabilitation program which involves weed suppression, replanting activities and maintaining the area until the creek regains health, wildlife returns and the site reaches ecological sustainability.
